Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is the preferred construction method for transmission line crossings, including ecologically sensitive areas like wetlands and along riverbank areas. Directional drills are often required over traditional trenching methods. In response we have taken a close look at the technical reasoning, environmental and cost implications, and construction procedures in these areas. As a result our HDD division is fully qualified to undertake these types of crossings while minimizing cost to the client.
